Mission Statement
The Purpose of the athletic training program is to provide quality health care for the student-athletes of West Virginia University. The scope of the athletic training services encompass various domains which including injury recognition, treatment, rehabilitation, prevention, education, and counseling that will enable the athlete to maintain an optimal quality of life beyond the span of athletic competition. The athletic training staff will work in conjunction with the team physicians and athletic administration to assure the student-athletes receive quality care throughout their career at WVU.

Forms & Information
Information regarding your healthcare must be submitted to the Athletic Training staff prior to your opportunity to tryout for any intercollegiate athletic team at West Virginia University.
Note: All walk-on student-athletes must have their own medical insurance coverage which will cover athletic injuries and be accepted by medical providers in the Morgantown, W.Va., area.
In addition, you must provide the athletic training staff with the following:
- Copy of your insurance card (front and back)
- Proof of physical within last six months (must include date and physician signature)
- If you are under the age of 18, these forms must be co-signed by your parents or guardians
